Brian A. McGuire

Founder and Owner

Brian A. McGuire is the founder and owner of M-Tac Trucking Compliance, a full-service consulting firm specializing in USDOT, FMCSA, and PHMSA regulatory compliance. With more than 25 years of public safety experience, including a distinguished career with the New Jersey State Police, he is widely recognized for his practical, field-tested expertise in commercial motor vehicle enforcement and safety management.

During his law enforcement career, Mr. McGuire served as a certified Commercial Vehicle Inspector (NASI Parts A and B) with General Hazardous Materials and Passenger Vehicle certifications. He conducted more than 4,000 commercial motor vehicle inspections and over 1,000 New Entrant Safety Audits, helping carriers achieve and maintain compliance with federal regulations. He also completed advanced USDOT Safety Investigator and Compliance Review training and performed multiple compliance reviews prior to his retirement.

Since founding M-Tac Trucking Compliance in 2019, Mr. McGuire has provided compliance consulting, audit preparation, and customized training to motor carriers across the country. He specializes in operational evaluations, safety management planning, and regulatory defense, helping carriers comply with Title 49 CFR Parts 171-180 and 303-399. His approach centers on implementing the Safety Management Cycle to build sustainable, safety-focused operations.

Mr. McGuire is an Associate Member of the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) and serves on the Audits and Investigations, Enforcement and Industry Modernization, and Training Committees. He is the recipient of the 2020 Howard Card Safety Award from the New Jersey Propane Gas Association.
